Single passage Rotary Union Maintenance
Single Passage Rotary Joint
Maintenance Tips for Rotary Joints:
- 1.Keep the drum and internal pipeline of the swivel joint clean. Pay special attention to new equipment, and if necessary, install filters to prevent abnormal wear caused by foreign objects.
- 2.Long periods of inactivity can lead to scaling and rusting inside the swivel joint. Be aware of the possibility of jamming or leakage when reusing the equipment.
- 3.For swivel joints with lubrication devices, regularly add lubricant to ensure the reliability of the bearing operation.
- 4.Swivel joints circulating hot media should gradually warm up to avoid sudden temperature changes.
- 5.Check the wear and thickness variation of the sealing surface (normal wear is typically 5-10mm): observe the friction trajectory of the sealing surface to see if there are any signs of three-point interruption or scratching. If such conditions are found, replace the components immediately.
- 6.Handle swivel joints with care and avoid impacts to prevent damage to the joint components.
- 7.Prevent foreign objects from entering the interior of the swivel joint.
- 8.Avoid prolonged idle operation of the swivel joint.
